Have you decided to visit Verona, the worldwide famous city thanks to the Arena and the love story between Romeo and Juliet, but don’t know where to park in the center? Do not worry, below you will find a list of the different parking areas available in the center (or nearby). We will divide the parking areas into zones to make it easier for you to make your best choice.
Corso Porta Nuova area (Piazza Bra):
– Parcheggio Cittadella (Piazza Cittadella)
– Parcheggio Arena(via M. Bentegodi)
– Parcheggio Italia (Corso Porta Nuova)
– Parcheggio Tribunale (Via dello Zappatore)
Arsenale area (near Castelvecchio ):
– Parcheggio Arsenale (Piazza Arsenale)
To easily reach Ponte Pietra and the funicular to Castel San Pietro :
– Parcheggio Isolo (Via Ponte Pignolo)
Near Veronetta, near the Giusti Garden and the University:
– Parcheggio Polo Zanotto (University Avenue)
– Garage Paradiso (Via Paradiso)
For the railway and bus station:
– Parcheggio Stazione (Via Città di Nimes)
– Metro Park Parking (Piazzale XXV Aprile)
If you want to reach the Verona Fair for any event, such as Vinitaly, the Horse Fair, Agricultural Fair:
– Ex Fruit and Vegetable Market Parking (Viale del Lavoro)
To visit the Basilica of San Zeno :
– Parcheggio San Zeno (Piazza Corrubio)
Borgo Trento Hospital, near the historic center:
– Parcheggio Ospedale di Borgo Trento (Via San Camillo de Lellis)
To reach the Arena, the museum of frescoes and all the main attractions of the city:
– Parking Center / Ex Gasometer (Via Campo Marzo)

The Parking in Piazza Cittadella, spread over four floors, is located a few steps from Piazza Bra. It is open all day from Monday to Sunday and the rate starts at € 1 every 20 minutes. From this car park, you can easily reach the main attractions of the city on foot, including the Arena, the Gran Guardia building, the Portoni Bra, and from there Via Mazzini and Piazza Erbe.
The Arena parking is also located in a strategic position for those who want to stroll through the main streets of the historic center or enjoy a show in the Arena.
The Parcheggio Italia is open from Monday to Saturday from 7.00 to 0 12:30, and Sundays from 7.30 to 12.00 and from 20.30 to 00.30. This car park is also convenient for its proximity to the station and Piazza Bra.
The Autorimessa Paradiso instead, is located in Veronetta, with opening hours 6.30-21.00 on weekdays, and 9.00-21.00 on holidays. This area is not exactly in the center of the city, but it can be easily reached on foot by crossing the river. From here you can quickly reach Juliet’s house (750m), the Torre dei Lamberti (800m) and the Arena (1km).
The Arsenale car park is always open and is located in Castelvecchio.
There are also stalls marked in blue on the street, where you can pay for € 1 an hour. The only negative note is that here you can stop for a maximum of two hours and you should pay attention to the limited traffic areas in the historic center. Bear in mind that on Sundays and public holidays, however, these parking spaces are free of charge.
If you are looking for where to park in Verona for free, there are three solutions:
– Porta Palio parking
– Piazzale Guardini
– Piazzale Olimpia
The first one is located near the historic center, in Viale Galliano. It has a hundred places and is a 15-minute walk from Castelvecchio.
Piazzale Guardini, on the other hand, is located at the Porta Nuova station, about a 20-minute walk from the center. Finally, Piazzale Olimpia has 5000 seats and is located near the stadium. If you decide to park here, it will be convenient for you to take a bus to go downtown.
