How to reach Verona center from the airport

Verona is a city in Northern Italy that has always attracted tourists from all over the world, thanks to the legendary love story between Romeo and Juliet, the wonderful Arena, its museums and historic buildings.

If you are fascinated by the charm of this city and you wish to visit it, there are different ways to reach it: by car, by train, by bus and by plane. The Verona airport Valerio Catullo is well connected to the city center. From there you can take the Aerobus 199 which will take you directly to the Verona Porta Nuova station. The cost of the ticket is € 7, and you can purchase it either at the automatic machines inside the airport or on the bus by asking the driver.

The bus runs every 20 minutes and the journey takes about fifteen minutes. The earliest runs from the airport to the center leave at 5.35, 6.30, and 6.50 in the morning, while the last scheduled run is around 11.00 pm. To reach the city center from the station you have two options: walk 15-20 minutes or jump on one of the many buses that will take you to the Arena or Castelvecchio. Lines: 11-12-12-51-52 and 21-22-23-24-31-32-33-41-61-62-91-93-94-95.

You can do the same thing on your way back: go to Porta Nuova station and from there take bus 199 which will take you directly to the airport.

An alternative way is to take a taxi, parked outside the arrivals area. Taxis are managed by the following companies: Unione Radio Taxi, Taxi, and Autoblu, Radiotaxi Catullo. The cost of a ride is around € 30. On the way back you can find taxis parked in Piazza Bra, a few steps from the Arena.

If you want to visit Lake Garda , from the airport you can take the line 482 managed by the Verona Transport Company (ATV) which will take you directly to Peschiera, Lazise, ​​Bardolino, and Garda. Or you can reach the train station and from there take the train to Peschiera, which takes about 15 minutes.

Finally, if you prefer to rent a car, you can find rental agencies inside the airport. In this way you can explore the surroundings of Verona freely, reaching as far as Valpolicella.
